The National Planning Policy Framework is a key part of the government’s reforms to make the planning system less complex and more accessible. It vastly simplifies the number of policy pages about planning. The planning practice guidance to support the framework is published online and regularly updated.
The framework acts as guidance for local planning authorities and decision-takers, both in drawing up plans and making decisions about planning applications.

Once the neighbourhood plan area is designated, TWBC is legally required to provide support and advice to the parish and those involved in producing the Neighbourhood Development Plan. In terms of formal engagement TWBC will support us through all phases of development.
