Footpath Committe

Goudhurst has 39 miles of public footpaths the criss-cross the Parish. Many of these are old drovers roads that date back to medieval times. The Footpath Committee monitors the paths and is responsible for maintaining and improving in collaboration with other authorities e.g. Kent County Council (KCC).

All routes, both Public Rights of Way (PROW) and footways alongside roads are regularly walked and inspected and the committee liaises with KCC on local PROW maps.

This committee meets at least twice a year and is chaired by Cllr Mrs Caroline Richards. The Vice Chairman is Vacant and Cllrs Boniface and Wood form the remainder of the committee. There are two advisers: Mrs JoJo Bates and Mrs Alison Scott.

Minutes of committee meetings can be found in the Parish Council Minutes and agenda
